FMA President Receives Award

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX (March 31, 2016) --Jose Quintanilla (left) Chief, Aircraft Components Division, Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD), is presented the Gilbert N. Guidry Memorial Award in recognition for being named the 2015 Outstanding Chapter President for the Federal Managers Association (FMA). The Gilbert N. Guidry Memorial Award is one of four annual national level awards presented by FMA for outstanding work in the federal government. Marco Garcia, CCAD Director of Supply Chain Management and president of FMA Chapter 125, had the honor of presenting the award to Mr. Quintanilla.

First awarded in 1981, the Gilbert N. Guidry Memorial Award is presented to the outstanding Federal Managers Association Chapter President in memory of Gilbert N. Guidry, President of FMA Chapter 4, Philadelphia Naval Shipyard.

Gil Guidry Outstanding Chapter President Award nominations are made by FMA region directors for chapter presidents in their respective regions. In recognition of their excellent leadership and dedication to FMA, Gil Guidry Award winners receive lifetime FMA membership, a plaque, and their name on a perpetual plaque displayed at the National Office. All nominees receive special recognition.

 

Designated a Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for rotary wing aircraft, Corpus Christi Army Depot ensures aviation readiness through overhaul, repair, modification, retrofit, testing, recapitalization, and modernization of helicopters, engines and components. This effort includes world-wide on-site field maintenance teams, analytical crash investigations and chemical material process facilities. CCAD serves as a depot training base for active duty Army, National Guard, and reserve units. CCAD, as South Texas' largest industrial employer, employs more than 5500 personnel and contractors providing an overall economic impact of more than $1.14 Billon to the local community.
